Scott Barton

Scott Barton has almost 20 years experience of organising events & festivals and has been the driving force behind the company from the outset.

Prior to working in events Scott worked in the TV & Film industry on productions including the BAFTA Award Winning A Very British Coup (C4), Jack The Ripper (ITV/Lorimer), Venus Peter (Film Four) and the Neil Jordan film High Spirits (Palace Pictures). Scott has also worked a Conference Marketing Director and on a number of fundraising projects including working with Singer/Songwiter Joan Armatrading and BMG to produce a fundraising music CD.

In 1996 Scott was responsible for organising the first After Dark event, and went on to establish Mayfest, Fright Night, City Lights and now the Grin Up North and StreetLife festivals.

Jill Phillips

Jill worked as a Commercial Lawyer for over 14 years at one of the UK's largest law firms and went on to specialise in Licensing & Gaming Law at a leading niche practice throughout the introduction of the new Licensing Act in 2005. Jill also has experience of working for the corporate legal department of a local authority and along with Scott founded the Company in 1999.

After spending many years working behind the scenes, Jill has now joined the company on a full time basis as Business Manager.

Marie Shipley

Marie joined the company in April 2008 as Events & Marketing Co-ordinator. Marie is currently working on our StreetLife & British Festival of Street Entertainment projects as well playing a key role in organising our annual programme of events.
